Kelley's Story

In October of 2007, Kelley became paralyzed from the waist down from inflammation of her spinal cord, caused by a condition known as transverse myelitis. She is currently on what has turned out to be a long and difficult road to recovery. But recovery is occuring. She has made encouraging progress in motor function, and she is fully committed to walking again. This 65 minute documentary chronicles a self support adventure on river boards down the Colorado River, by Kelley Kalafatich, Julie Munger, and Rebecca Rusch. The story is original and engaging, and the imagery of the Canyon is spectacular. This blog is a forum to keep updated on Kelley's progress, as well as for you to post messages for Kelley to read.
