It's a New Year 2011....& something new!!

Yesterday, during my workout at Project Walk I spent most of the time on the total-gym, for at least 25 minutes! We had the slant board on the 3rd rung and I was able to push and bend my knees for the first time!!...Seeing that slant board move and knowing I did it, I couldn't help crying....it makes me work even harder knowing progress is being made!! I paid for the workout yesterday evening, with my quads and butt throbbing with nerve pain. This morning I was exhausted, but doing ok with not too much pain. Onward!!! kk

Yippee, Kelley! Huge news! In raising kids you get to teach them that pain, and tears, are not always - or even mostly - a bad thing. I got tingles reading this. We're here for all the big & little victories and the good & the bad days. (And the tears that are both the good kind and the not so good kind.) You amaze me, woman of grace & power!Whenever I read your blog a memory of Janet's bridal shower pops up, being out there in the field with those amazing goddesses, all that laughter, all that promise of what the future holds. xoxo

I wish I could wave a magic wand, and speed up your recovery by a factor of 10, at least. But I'm delighted to hear that there's real progress, and continued hope.

Keep up the good fight!

Wow, Kelley, that is such fantastic news. I am so excited to hear it!. Such an incredible encouragement. And you deserve it, you have been working so hard. I'm so happy for you that you can live in Dana Pt. and get the treatment you need as frequently as you want. I thank God for all this and for you. You encourage me! Love you, Kitty. Hugs to you and mom.
